Agricultural Bank of China

The Agricultural Bank of China (hereafter referred to as ABC or the Bank) is the first commercial bank established in the People's Republic of China in 1951 and the State's first specialized bank set up after the reform and opening-up of the country in February 1979. On Fortune Global 500, they ranked 223 in 2008 and 155 in 2009.[1]


People

Xiang Junbo, President of the Agricultural Bank of China is a former deputy governor of China's central bank.[2]
Gang Xiao, Chairman of the Bank of China Ltd since 2003, was deputy governor of the People’s Bank of China from 1998 to 2003.[3]
