Tucker Eskew is an American spin doctor, and a loyal Republican since he worked on the 1984 Reagan election campaign while still in college. He was the public voice of the George Bush team in Florida during the 2000 elections.

In 2002 he was director of the Office of Media Affairs at the White House which is number two to the President's chief press spokesperson.

Working with British Labour government to spin the Iraq War

Eskew came to Britain in November 2001 and worked closely for five months with Alastair Campbell to 'spin the war'[1] The Independent reported that 'What brought him to London was a joint media and propaganda operation, little publicised in Britain and unprecedented, even in the Second World War'

He has worked with the UK Government's little-publicised Islamic Media Unit to get the allies' case across to 'publics', especially in the Middle East.[2]

He describes his job as to 'impede great lies and propel great truths'. [3]
