Stephen Tindale was a climate and energy consultant and associate fellow at the Centre for European Reform. He also runs the website Climate Answers and is a visiting research fellow at the King’s College London Policy Institute. In November 2016 he became a consultant to petrochemical giant Ineos, one of the key companies behind the push for fracking in the UK. He died in July 2017.

Criticising anti-fracking campaigners
Tindale was a speaker at an All-Party Parliamentary Group on Unconventional Oil and Gas event in July 2015, where he stated that he believed green groups were opposed to fracking because 'fundamentally, it is easier in terms of fundraising and campaigning to "oppose" rather than support an issue'.
