Simon Walsh was appointed Head of Group Strategy for HBOS Australia in July 2004.

He was previously the Director of Group Strategy at BankWest, where he also held several other senior executive positions including Head of Organisation Development, Director of Strategic Projects and Director of Value Improvement.

Walsh has a management consulting background with several firms in Australia, where he worked as a strategy consultant across a number of industries including Financial Services, Mining, Telecommunications, Utilities and Government. Simon commenced his professional career with Telstra, where he held a variety of Engineering, Logistics, IT and Executive roles.

He is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors[1].
