'Chambers of Commerce comprise the world's largest business support organisation. In the UK, membership is voluntary and the Scottish Chambers, along with the British Chambers of Commerce, are prominent members of the worldwide movement of Chambers.' [1] The worldwiode movement includes the Eurochambres - The Association of European Chambers of Commerce, the association of more than 1200 European Chambers of Commerce and Industry. [2] and the International Chamber of Commerce

'Scottish Chambers publishes an Annual Report, a Quarterly Economic Survey and a Quarterly E-Survey. The Fraser of Allander Institute of the University of Strathclyde produces both the quarterly surveys on its behalf.' [3]

Chairman of Scottish Chambers of Commerce, David Ross

As Chairman and Senior Partner of Biggart Baillie, solicitors, and a former President of the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, David Ross has extensive first hand experience of business issues in Scotland. He will work alongside Scottish Chambers’ Director Liz Cameron on liaison with MPs, MSPs and Chamber members on a range of such issues. David has over 25 years of Corporate Law experience and is one of the UK’s leading energy lawyers. He is also the past Chairman of the Euro-American Lawyers Group, a grouping of some 20 International Law firms.

Liz Cameron, Director

Liz Cameron is the former Chief Executive of Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce (RCC) for more than ten years. As a director and chief executive of Renfrewshire drove the organisation forward so that it employs more than 30 people, has a membership of 600 and records a turnover of £1.6m a year.

Eductionally Liz has a MSc in Human Resource Management and a Diploma in Personnel and Training Management from the University of Strathclyde plus a Scottish Enterprise Premier Business Advisory Diploma.

These qualifications jump started her career with a personnel post at J&W Kerr Electronics Ltd in Greenock followed by moves to Playtex Ltd just up the road in Port Glasgow, Inverclyde Enterprise Trust Ltd, the Scottish Council for Development and Industry and Renfrewshire Local Employer Network and then Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce.

Garry Clark, Policy & Campaigns Executive

Garry is Policy and Campaigns Executive to the Scottish Chambers of Commerce, having joined the organisation in November 2005. Garry has a background in law and was a parliamentary researcher before joining Scottish Chambers.

Allison De Juliis, PA/Researcher

Allison is Personal Assistant to the Director of Scottish Chambers of Commerce, having joined the organisation in November 2005. Allison has an extensive administration background and has come from an engineering and naval architecture company. Allison also has previous experience within the Chamber network having worked in Renfrewshire Chamber.
