Robert Bensoussan is the CEO of fashion brand L.K. Bennett and co-founder of Sirius Equity.[1]
Career
Bensoussan's previous business experience includes being a director at fashion brands Charles Jourdan; Sonia Rykiel; Escada Group; Christian Lacroix (subsidiary of LVMH); chief executive of Gianfranco Ferrè; and on the board of perfume company Interparfums Inc.
He has worked as a personal advisor to Rose Mare Bravo of Burberry.
In 2001 together with Phoenix Equity Partners (now Lion Capital) he set up Equinox Luxury Holdings Ltd which acquired a 51% stake in shoe company Jimmy Choo.[1]
In 2008 he founded Sirius Equity with Jim Sharp with the intention of making investments in the branded luxury goods and retail sectors.[2]
In 2008 he invested in L.K. Bennett and became a majority shareholder and in 2014 he moved from executive chairman to CEO of the company. [3][4]
Letter to the Telegraph
On 1 April 2015 Bensoussan was one of 103 business leaders who wrote to the Telegraph praising the British Conservative Party's economic policies and claiming a Labour government would 'threaten jobs and deter investment' in the UK.[5]
