Rehman Chishti has been the UK Conservative Party MP for Gillingham and Rainham since 2010. [1] He retained his seat in the 2015 general election with a majority of 10,530. [2]

Since May 2015, Chishti has been the parliamentary private secretary to the attorney general Jeremy Wright.[3]

Controversy over Saudi think tank links

In March 2016, Chishti became an adviser to the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, a role for which he was paid £200 an hour.
