Rebekah Brooks is the former chief executive of News International.

Brooks was appointed editor of the [News of the World]] in 2000, editor of The Sun in 2003 and chief executive of News International in 2009. She resigned from the latter post over the phone hacking scandal on 15 July 2011.[1]
