Rabbi Peter Weintraub is a director of the Weintraub Family Foundation and a National Board Member of the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF).[1] The Weintraub foundation is a major donor to the FIDF. Between 2002 - 2013 the foundation donated $438,090 to the FIDF.[2]

Weintraub held a 50 percent share in the OK Line textile factory that operated in the Erez Industrial Zone in the north of the occupied Gaza strip. In 2005, due to Ariel Sharon's disengagement plan the factory was dismantled and rebuilt in the border town of Sderot. Subsequently, in the wake of financial losses, the ownership of the factory was transferred to a non-profit organisation.[3]
