Marcus Agius is the former group chairman of Barclays[1] In July 2012, he announced his resignation over the LIBOR rate-rigging scandal[2] and was later replaced by Sir David Walker. Despite being retired Agius attended the high powered Bilderberg conference held in Hertfordshire, UK in June 2013, along with David Wright vice chairman of Barclays. [3]

  • BBC - Non-executive board director, left this position in November 2012 when his term expired.
  • Bilderberg - Steering committee member[4]
  • British Bankers Association - UK banking lobby group that is also responsible for setting LIBOR - Agius was chairman until he tendered his resignation on 2 July 2012 in the wake of the LIBOR fixing scandal. [5]
