Jonathan Jacobson is a trustee of the Jacobson Family Foundation Trust, a 501(c)(3) non profit foundation that supports a number of Jewish and pro-Israel causes. He is the co-founder and CEO of Highfields Capital Management, an investment management hedge fund which 'manages private investment funds for endowments, charitable and philanthropic foundations, pension funds and other institutional and private investors'.[1] The company has been estimated to be worth some $11 billion.[2] Jacobson received a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.[1] He is Chairman of the International Board of Trustees of Israel's Institute for National Security Studies.[3]

In May 2012, Jacobson spoke at a panel discussion hosted by the Milken Institute titled 'Risks and Opportunities: A Discussion with Leading Investment Managers'.[4]
