JANE BONHAM CARTER: Born 20 October 1957, was educated at St Paul’s Girls’ School and University College London. She is currently a television producer working for Ten Alps/ Brooke Lapping Productions. Jane Bonham Carter was Director of Communications for the Liberal Democrats (’96-’98), Editor of A Week in Politics for Channel 4 (’93-’96) and Producer of Panorama and Newsnight for the BBC (’88-’93). She is a member of the Liberal Democrat Campaigns and Communications Committee; Advisory Board for the Centre for Reform; Rehabilitation for Addicted Prisoners Trust and a council member of Britain in Europe. She lives with her partner in London.

Jane is the Liberal Democrat spokesperson in the Lords on Broadcasting.
