Ian Pearson is a former Economic Secretary to HM Treasury until May 2010. In March 2011 he joined the Board of Big Four accountancy and management consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. [1]

Initially, upon leaving the Treasury Pearson had set up as an independent consultant; his company 'IPP Associates Ltd' advised on' strategy and business development'.
