HN22 is the cipher given to a former manager or 'back office' police officer with the Special Demonstration Squad. For the N cipher system see N officers page.

In the Undercover Policing Inquiry

On the 20 February 2018 it was directed that restriction orders applications (including for that of 'HN22') be submitted by end of February 2018.[1] No application was made for HN22.[2] No such application was made so the real name will be published in due course.[3]

No names of back office or management staff have been released by the Undercover Policing Inquiry (except where they served as undercover officers as well).
