Georgetown Security Studies Review was founded in December 2012 (under the title Global Security Studies Review). The peer- reviewed academic journal is an official review of Georgetown University's Security Studies Program.

The journal is published the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service’s Center for Security Studies at Georgetown University. [1] The review in addition to full length peer-reviewed articles, also publishes literature reviews and letters to and from the editor.
