Danny Spencer is a former prison service governor and a managing director at Mitie Care and Custody.[1]

Prison Service

HMP Liverpool

Spencer was deputy governor for the prison service at HMP Liverpool from March 2003 to February 2008.

HMP/YOI Littlehey

He was governor for the prison service at HMP/YOI Littlehey from March 2008 to November 2011. Overseeing a 480-bed young offender institute and 726-bed adult male Category C prison.

Mitie

In May 2012 Spencer became an operations director in Mitie's Justice division. This role involved "Successful delivery of Contract Operations across the MITIE Justice portfolio including Prisons and Immigration Removal Centres, relationship management between MITIE Justice and key clients/partners Ministry of Justice, UK Border Agency and HM Prison Service, bidding and winning new business within the Justice sector, particularly related to the Prison outsourcing program."

In April 2015 Spencer was made a managing director of Mitie Care and Custody.
