Meyer was a spin doctor for John Major and the UK ambassador to the US in the run up to the Iraq war.

Meyer served as Ambassador to the United States from 1997 to 2003.[1]

Memoirs

His memoirs DC Confidential caused some upset in Whitehall after going through an approval process which involved amongst others Andrew Turnbull, Dickie Stagg, Howell James and Gus O'Donnell.
