In October 2005 [[Boots]] agreed to sell its over-the-counter medicines business, Boots Healthcare International, which markets brands such as [[Clearasil]], [[Nurofen]], [[Optrex]], [[E45]] and [[Strepsils]], to the Anglo-Dutch household products company [[Reckitt Benckiser]] for £1.936 billion. The disposal was completed on 31 January 2006.
