The New York based Achelis and Bodman Foundation was created by a merger in November 2015 of the Bodman Foundation (established in 1945) and The Achelis Foundation (established 1940).

Achelis and Bodman grantees since 2016 have included the British think tank Henry Jackson Society: Project for Democratic Geopolitics‎, who it gave £80,000 for general operating support under its public policy programme.
