Trent Franks (born 19th June, 1957) is an American Republican politician and member of Congress. He represents Arizona's 8th congressional district.
Israel
Trent is a notable supporter of Israel and is a co-chair of the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus. In April 2014, he issued a statement on behalf of CIAC that ‘slams’ US Secretary of State John Kerry for criticising Israel’s construction of new illegal settlements in occupied east Jerusalem.[1]
In 2013, he introduced a bill in Congress to recognise Jerusalem and the Golan Heights as Israeli territory and to move the American embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.[2]
