Mark Kipnis is a former company lawyer for Hollinger International. He was convicted of receiving $150,000 in bonuses from participants in the Hollinger fraud involving Conrad Black[1].

Kipnis avoided a prison sentence for his part in the fraud because he did not receive the millions of dollars that his codefendants Conrad Black Peter Atkinson and John Boultbee had received. His sentence was five years probation and six months of electronic home-monitoring. He was also ordered to carry out 275 hours of community service[2].
