Total Intel or Total Intelligence Solutions Inc is a private intelligence and security company. It was founded in February 2007 with the merging of the Terrorism Research Center, Technical Defense (both headed by Matthew Devost) and former CIA man Cofer Black's consulting group, the Black Group.[1] The merger followed the acquisition of the companies by Erik Prince’s Prince Group, the holding company behind Blackwater USA.[2] The company is managed by Devost, and chaired by Cofer Black.
