W Galen Weston OC, BA, LLD serves as President and Chief Executive officer of George Weston Limited., Canada's largest privately-controlled food and merchandising company. Mr. Weston serves as President of The Weston Foundation. Mr. Weston serves as Chief Executive of Associated British Foods plc, the international food, ingredients, and retail group. He served as Managing Director of Westmill Foods, Allied Bakeries and George Weston Foods Ltd (Australia). Mr. Weston was appointed to the Order of Canada in 1990. Mr. Weston serves as Chairman of Holt, Renfrew & Co., Limited and Brown Thomas Group Limited. He serves as Chairman of George Weston Limited. Mr. Weston has been Chairman of Loblaw Companies Limited since 1976 and serves as the Chairman of [[Selfridges]. He serves as a Director of Wittington Investments Limited. Mr. Weston has been a Non-Executive Director of Associated British Foods PLC, since 1964. He has been a Director of George Weston Limited since 1967 and is Chairman of its Executive Committee. He has been a Director of Loblaw Companies Limited since 1972 and is Chairman of its Executive Committee. He has been a member of the ABF Board since 1999. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Columbia University. He served as a Director of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce since 1978.
