Stephanie Monk has been the Granada Group Human Resources Director since 1990. She was paid £277,000 in 1999 and £259,000 in 1998. She also bought £50,593 worth of Granada shares for £17,249 through a company options scheme in 1999. In 1998 she made £565,000 by cashing in Granada share options. She was Group Personnel and Communications Director at the London International Group plc from 1982 - 1990.
Stephanie Monk is a member of the Low Pay Commission, who set a minimum wage in their first year of £3.00 per hour for workers under 21. Her salary works out as an hourly rate of about £133 per hour for a 40 hour week. She is also a member of the Government's New Deal Task Force.
