Army Reserve officer named in documents purporting to be Specialist Group Military Intelligence files
D A Humphrey is an Army Reserve officer who is named as "D A Humphrey, Lt Col RA Res, Chief HDIS" in documents of unknown provenance that purport to be internal Specialist Group Military Intelligence (SGMI) files.[1] He is not on the list of SGMI members published by Anonymous in January 2019.
Specialist Group Military Intelligence
The Concept of Use for Specialist Group Military Intelligence, version 1, dated 20 May 2014 and marked "Not for release outside MOD", gives as its author "D A Humphrey, Lt Col RA Res, Chief HDIS". HDIS is one of the three specialist pillars of the Specialist Group Military Intelligence.[1] An SGMI conflict of interest policy from the same set, dated "XX Nov 16", says that members "are recruited on the strength of civilian expertise" and that civilian employment "particularly where it is in the defence and security field" can "expose SGMI to reputational harm and civilian employers to allegations of anti-competitive practices".[2] The authenticity of these documents has not been established.
