Wasafiri Consulting (Wasafiri Consulting Limited, Companies House number 07202110) is a contractor to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) under the Conflict, Stability and Security Fund (CSSF). Companies House records it as incorporated on 25 March 2010, status "Active", nature of business "82990 - Other business support service activities not elsewhere classified", with registered office at Preston Park House, South Road, Brighton, England, BN1 6SB.[1][2] It is a named supplier on Lot 1 of the CSSF Framework Agreement 2023–27.[3] FCO and FCDO payments to it over £25,000 recorded in published departmental spending data total about £522,775; these figures cover all FCO/FCDO (and, after September 2020, former Department for International Development) programmes and are not limited to the CSSF.[4]

CSSF and other UK government work

Wasafiri says the British High Commission committed to "a 3-year programme to tackle the drivers, narratives and enablers of violent extremism" in East Africa. It says that in 2015 the High Commission "commissioned Wasafiri as its Regional Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Research Unit".[5] It also says its director Hamish Wilson was "deployed to the British Embassy in the newly created post of Senior Stabilisation Adviser" in Somalia in early 2012.[6]
