Its 2024 report describes a centre in Mafraq, Jordan, serving Syrian refugee families and Bedouin communities, written "Five years on from the difficult decision to close our Bethlehem centre"; it remains in touch "where possible, with families in Bethlehem and the wider region" (PDF p.2). Receipts in 2024 were £137,834 (donations £134,632; olive-wood sales £3,177) and payments £142,238, including grants of £11,585 and an exchange loss of £2,196 (PDF p.7).[2] Its website says its "work is rooted in Christian faith".[3]

The register describes its activities as: "Love Into Action provides support to families in the Middle East affected by intellectual disabilities through providing respite care; community outreach; training & support; and through sharing learning & best practice in these areas; plus supporting the leadership of other small charities. LIA also provides support to other people and communities, where it operates, as the opportunity arises."[1]

Funding in Israel

  • 2024 grants £11,585 "to support partner organisations in Jordan and Palestine"; restricted funds included £10,000 spent on "Relocating equipment from Palestine", and the charity's accounts are also audited "in the Palestinian Territories and Jordan" (PDF p.8).[2] No spending in Israel is described.

Israeli partners

No Israeli partner is named; partners in Jordan and Palestine are not named (PDF p.8).[2] Archived pages of the charity's website (January 2020) describe Beit Yusef (Joseph's House), a respite house opened in 2014 on a long-term lease, community support that "takes place throughout the Palestinian areas of the West Bank" and an Olive Wood Project "based at our centre in the Shepherds Fields of Bethlehem".[11][12]

Activity beyond the Green Line and support for the IDF

Findings are graded by confidence. "Partner" findings concern the Israeli recipient organisation, not proven use of UK funds.

Evidence of activity beyond the 1949 armistice line
Finding Confidence
Until about 2019 the charity ran a centre in the Shepherds' Fields, Bethlehem, and its 2020 website described support "throughout the Palestinian areas of the West Bank"; this was work with Palestinian families, not with settlements. The exact address of the centre is not given.[11][2] Medium

Support for the IDF: No IDF or military funding is stated.[2]

Controversies and regulatory action

  • No Charity Commission inquiry, Official Warning or Gazette insolvency notice naming this charity was found, and its register entry shows no regulatory alert;[13] it is not among the charities named in the Commission's cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements (May, September and December 2025) or in the September 2026 statement of results.[14][15][16][17] The charities in the Commission's settlements class inquiry (opened August 2026) have not been named, so it is not known whether this charity is among them.[18]
  • Land not explained. The register records that the charity owns and/or leases land or property, but the 2024 receipts-and-payments accounts do not describe any (PDF p.7–8).[1][2]
