- 1963 - Mr N. Norton—Miss R. A, Woolfson The engagement is announced between Nigel, son of Mr and Mrs Harvey N. Norton, Norbury, Rouken Glen Road, Whitecraigs, Renfrewshire, and Rosalind Anne, daughter of the late Mr Myer H. Woolfson and Mrs Marion Woolfson, Moorside, Erskine Road, Whitecraigs, Renfrewshire, and granddaughter of the late Mr and Mrs R. Cohen, of Edinburgh.[1]
- 1943 - CHEVRAH CHAYE ODOM, SO. PORTLAND ST. SYNAGOGUE The annual 15th Kislev Memorial Service of the Chevrah was held on Sunday, 12th December, in the vestry room of the synagogue. Rabbi B. Atlas and Rabbi Berman (the Rebbe of the Chevrah) delivered addresses, stressing the significance of the 15th Kislev. Rev. M, Fomin recited the Minchah prayers and the Haskoroth. After ' the gervice refreshments were served and a collection on behalf of the Chevrah was made. As a result a considerable sum was handed over to the newly-appointed treasurer, Mr. Myer Woolfson. An appeal for support for the Chevrah was made by the parnas of the synagogue, Mr. A. Mandel, and by Mr. Michael Black, JP. Mr.S. M. Lipsey, who presided, was accorded a vote of thanks by Mr. Myer Woolfson.
