Francis Finlay
Francis Finlay was formerly Chairman and CEO of Clay Finlay Inc., a global investment management firm based in New York which he co-founded in 1982. The firm was acquired in 2000 and Mr. Finlay stepped down from an executive role in 2006.[1] Clay Finlay specialises in the management of a full range of global and regional equity mandates on behalf of a worldwide institutional client base. Finlay was also a non-executive director of a number of investment companies including the Scottish Investment Trust, leaving on 26 July 2013[2] and SVG Capital, where he left in 2012.[3]
Mr Finlay has served as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University Graduate School of Business and is currently a Governor of the London Business School and an Honorary Fellow of Merton College, Oxford. He is also a Governor of the Ditchley Foundation, a Director of the East West Institute and Chairman of the American Friends of the British Museum.[4]
Educated at Oxford University, he is an Honorary Fellow of Merton College and a member of the Chancellors Court of Benefactors. Mr. Finlay served as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University School of Business 1981-1986 and was subsequently a Governor of the London Business School 2002-2011. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.[1]
