On its website the Foundation describes itself:
- 'With a passion to ignite a spirit of giving among Christians, co-founders Larry Burkett, Terry Parker, and Ron Blue began the journey of establishing the National Christian Foundation. These men cast a vision for an organization built upon biblical values, humility, and financial integrity. With a board of directors committed to the Founders' vision, the legacy begun by these servant leaders in 1982 still holds true today by God's grace.'
