Phil Reilly

Phil Reilly is a special adviser to deputy prime minister Nick Clegg, his role specifically titled head of government communications and chief speechwriter. [1] Reilly was appointed in July 2014 to replace James Holt. [2]
Background
Having worked for two newspapers in Kent as a senior reporter, the Liberal Democrats were impressed by Reilly's strong communications background and in 2008 they hired Reilly to be their senior press officer. He was then appointed to be director of communications and strategy for Brian Paddick when he ran as the Lib Dems candidate for the Mayor of London in 2012. [1]
Other roles for the party also include, speechwriter to Mr Clegg, deputy head of media and internal communications and head of media. [1]
