Paul Murphy is Labour MP for Torfaen. He has served as Minister of State, Northern Ireland Office (Minister for Political Development) 1997-99; Secretary of State: for Wales 1999-2002, for Northern Ireland 2002-05; Chairman, Intelligence and Security Committee 2005-08; Secretary of State for Wales 2008-09.^[1]
