Sir Stephen Brown is a former British Diplomat, working as High Commissioner to Singapore and British Ambassador to the Republic of South Korea, and the former chief executive of UK Trade and Investment.
Career
Brown joined the British Army at the age of 18, serving ten years as an artillery officer in Germany, Northern Ireland and Oman.
In 1976 he joined the British Diplomatic Service, serving in Nicosia, Paris, London, Melbourne, China, South Korea and Singapore.
He was then appointed chief executive of UK Trade and Investment between 2002 and 2005.[1]
