Oonagh Blackman

Oonagh Blackman is a former political editor at the Daily Mirror. She went on to be special adviser to the secretary of state for Northern Ireland Shaun Woodward. [1]
Whilst at the Mirror, Blackman worked for Piers Morgan. This bought her under considerable scrutiny in the Leveson Inquiry, as she was working for Morgan at the time when he was suspected of phone hacking. [2]
Background
Blackman worked at the Mirror for eleven years,from 1996 until 2007. In May 2004 she became their political editor after her predecessor, James Hardy, left to join the BBC. She previously worked as their special projects editor, Whitehall editor and deputy political editor. [1]
