Wesley Ball is current secretary to the Labour Party and director of political services. [1]
Ball is a former special adviser to Hilary Benn at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, a role which he filled from from January 2009 up until the general election, He continued to be a political adviser to Benn in Opposition too. [1]
During the 2010 general election, Ball ran the briefing operation for the then Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Ball has also worked in campaigns and public affairs for NGOs and the Labour Party. He has advised political parties in Botswana and Macedonia on campaign strategy. [1]
