Even retired from the IDF in 1999 with the rank of colonel, following a long career in the IDF's Intelligence Branch, which included senior research positions in political and economic areas.

Current Activity

Shmuel Even is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies. He specializes in economics, strategy, and Israel's security issues.
