Andrew Garfield is a partner at Brunswick Group which he joined in 2001 'after 15 years in newspaper journalism. Before joining Brunswick he was Financial Editor of the Independent, and retains a particular but not exclusive focus on financial institutions and cross-border activity.'[1]

He has extensive experience in advising clients on high profile M&A, crisis and shareholder activism. Major transaction experience includes Barclays acquisition of Lehman and BNP Paribas' acqusitions of Fortis and BNL, Barclays bid for ABN-Amro, the mergers of GDF Suez and NYSE Euronext. [2]

Garfield graduated from Oxford University with a BA in Russia and French.
