UniCredit Group is "a major international financial institution with strong roots in 22 European countries and an international network present in approximately 50 markets, with 9,578 branches and more than 162,000 employees."[1] The group operates in Austria Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine.[1] Founded as a merger of several Italian banks in 1998, the company headquarters are located in Milan.

Revolving Door

  • Marianna Li Calzi, a Member of the Board of Directors Since October 2008, was an expert at the Tax Advisory and Inspective Service of the Italian Ministry of the Economy and Finance from 2001 to 2007. She was also an Italian Member of Parliament from 1994 to 2001 and was Undersecretary of State to the Home Office in the Berlusconi Government.[2]
  • Former Board Member Nikolaus von Bomhard, is a Member of the Advisory Board of Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).[3][4]
