Background

The Force is made up of over 1500 police officers, supported by 150 Special Constables, cadets and over 850 police support staff. The Force has a gross revenue budget of £112M for 2009/2010.[1]


History

Grampian Police was formed on 16 May 1975 when the former forces of Aberdeen City Police and the Scottish North Eastern Counties Constabulary (SNECC) amalgamated on the re-organisation of local government. [2]

Through a Freedom of Information request, Grampian police Recharges for Services for Financial Year 2009-10 itemises their customers, income categories and income.[3] More than half the total amount is made up of BAA's contribution.
