Biography
Ian Duncan Smith, born in Edinburgh 9th April 1954, held the position of Conservative party leader from September 2001 and October 2003 (until he was forced to step down due to a vote of no confidence) and was appointed Secretary of State for Work and Pensions in May 2010 under David Cameron. He co-founded the Centre for Social Justice in 2004 playing an active role in the independent think tank until taking a backseat due to occupational commitments and is now recognised as the founder and patron of the thinktank - Globalisation: Centre for Social Justice.
