History and Background

The Centre for Social Justice is an independent British thinktank, that was set up and established by Iain Duncan Smith along with the help of Philippa Claire Stroud, a former leader of the Conservative Party who created this Political thinktank after losing the Conservative leadership in October 2003 through which he continues to show his commitment to compassionate conservatism. The main aim of the establishment of the Centre for Social Justice was to attempt to find and create new ways to overcome and to attempt to tackle poverty. The Centre for Social Justice was incorporated with Companies House on the 25th May 2004 (Company No. 05137036). [1]. The idea of the thinktank is to generate ideas from various charities, projects and community organisations with perspective on the true nature of the issue in order to identify the causes of poverty and create positive policies to help combat this, then putting them forward to politicians in order to help shape their manifestos and solve these problems.

Directors

The Board of Directors consists for The Centre for Social Justice Consist of Mark Florman, Louise Hobbs, Dr Stephen Brien, Ryan Robson and Sam Clarke who also has the role of company Secretary. [3]

Advisory Council

There also consists of an advisory council, a Board of people who will meet once a year in order to maintain ongoing support and strategies for the Centre for Social Justice. The Advisroy Council can be broken into two seperate group these are Business Owner and Associates(Influential Figures such as Royalty) and MPs and MEPs.
