Edwin Bramall

Field Marshal sir Edwin Bramall served as Chief of the General Staff from 1979 to 1982, and Chief of the Defence Staff from 1982 to 1985.[1]

He was raised to the peerage as Baron Bramall of Bushfield in 1987.[2]
