Maclay, Murray & Spens is a prominent Scottish law firm which entered into a joint venture with Beattie Media to set up a lobbying firm called Public Affairs Europe Ltd It was a short lived affair, employed Jack McConnell, the First Minister of Scotland for around 9 months in which time he won no clients and brought in no fees.
