- Donated £15,000 (09/03/2016) to Britain Stronger in Europe, the lead pro-EU campaign for the referendum on 23 June 2016[2]
- Donated £50,000 to the Conservatives in November 2014 ahead of the 2015 election campaign, entitling him to membership of the Conservative Leader's Group that meets with David Cameron and other senior party figures for meals and drinks.
