Anne Milton appointed government whip in 2012. She has been the Conservative Party MP for Guildford since 2005. [1]
In the general election in May 2015, Milton was re-elected with a majority of 22,448 and became the first female Conservative government deputy chief whip. [2]
History
Milton was appointed to the Health Select Committee in 2005 until she was made shadow minister for tourism, gambling and licensing. She was appointed shadow minister for health in 2007. She was also minister for public health in the new coalition government between (2010-12).
She was appointed government whip, having previously served as government whip to the Lord Commissioner of the HM Treasury. [3]
