Anne Milton has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Guildford since 2005. She is a former UK Conservative Party health minister and was government whip from 2012 to 2015. She has been the MP for Guildford since 2005.
In the general election in May 2015, Milton was re-elected with a majority of 22,448 and became the first female Conservative government deputy chief whip (Treasurer of HM Household). 
Milton was appointed to the Health Select Committee in 2005 until she was made shadow minister for tourism, gambling and licensing. A former shadow minister for health in 2007, she also served as minister for public health in the new coalition government between (2010-12).
She was appointed government whip, having previously served as government whip to the Lord Commissioner of the HM Treasury.
