Nic Dakin has been the Labour Party MP for Scunthrope since 2010. He was successfully re-elected in May 2015 with 42% of the vote increasing his majority to 3,134. [1]
In 2011 Dakin was appointed an opposition whip for the Labour party. He is also an officer the All Party Parliamentary Group for Education, the All Party Parliamentary Group for Skills and Employment and the All Party Parliamentary Group for the replacement of animals in medical experimentation. [2]
