Matthew Jamison
Matthew Jamison is the former Executive Secretary of the Henry Jackson Society.[1]
Jamison was born in County Down, Northern Ireland. He graduated with a degree in History from Peterhouse, Cambridge. He worked at a public affairs consultancy in London before returning to Ireland to work for the Belfast Buildings Preservation Trust and the Northern Ireland Schools Debating Competition under the chairmanship of Fionnuala Jay O'Boyle.[2]
Jamison was chairman of the Cambridge University Conservative Association in 2004.[3]
Jamison founded the Peterhouse Politics Society, where he hosted speakers such as Michael Portillo, Robin Butler, Geoffrey Howe and Sir Christopher Meyer. He is currently at Peterhouse researching Tony Blair's foreign policy in relation to Britain's imperial past.[4]
He has worked as a parliamentary researcher for Oliver Letwin.[5]
