STRATUM is a biobanking (storage of human tissue samples for research) project, formed as a result of "a collaboration between the pharmaceutical industry and academia, led by AstraZeneca". Other partners of the consortium include GlaxoSmithKline, Lab21 and the universities of Manchester, Nottingham and Leicester.[1]
"Public engagement" for the project is managed by Genetic Alliance UK.[2]
