Jonathan Marland

Jonathan Peter Marland (born 14 August 1956) is a venture capitalist and was treasurer of the Conservative Party between 2003-07. In 2006 he was made Baron Marland of Odstock. He has also acted as an advisor to the Conservative Party on its relations with business, arguing that relations need to be improved to regain the Tory's "credibility on the economy".[1]
In 2010, Lord Marland was made Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department of Energy and Climate Change, serving on the government frontbench. In May 2011 he was appointed as the Chairman of the British Business Ambassadors by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).
